'This
was my 4th figure competition - but my first time competing in Ottawa Ontario.
Previously, I had competed in the Maritimes (Moncton, St. John) but took a 2
year 'break' from the competition scene. Once establishing myself in
Ottawa as a personal trainer - I figured there was no better time to to get back
into it!I had never trained and dieted so intensely as I did for the November 1st Eastern Ontario Championships - and it really paid off! The competition was fierce with over 60 figure competitors registered!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who gave their time and support, and most of all those who put up with me while I was carb depleted and cranky! First of all, a huge thanks to Mark Bissonnette from BeFit.ca - His knowledge and products were greatly appreciated throughout my training (and beyond!).
Thanks to Anita Ramsey for setting me up with an awesome program/diet that got me into the best shape of my life - she's one of the best in the business! - Christine Marsh from Christine Marsh Designs who makes incredible posing suits - And finally thanks to my boyfriend Dan for keeping me grounded and providing all the support anyone could ask for - Melissa Houston for always 'being there' and giving me a great competition tan - and of course, Mum and Dad - they're just amazing.
