I have always surrounded myself with health and fitness as long as I can remember. From participating in almost every sport at a young age and all throughout high school I knew that I wanted to continue my education a fitness related industry. I graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland last fall with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and since have been working at Nubody’s Fitness Club as a personal trainer.  Everyday is a learning experience, as each person is just as unique and their training routines are. I am also always expanding my knowledge in various related topics such as nutrition and rehabilitation.

My experiences at Nubody’s and my co-workers are what lead me to decide to train for a Figure competition. This was my first time training for a show, and I cannot describe the feeling of how I felt November 14^th after weeks of intense training and dieting. I have watched a few shows previous and all I could think was just how hard the athletes up on stage must have trained and how much willpower they had. As soon as I got the motivation to do it I told myself I had to have just as much dedication and work harder than I ever had. Some days were easier than others, but at after everything is said and done, I can say it was an amazing experience!

As much as I feel that this is a personal accomplishment, there are a lot of people that I couldn’t have done this without! I would like to give a HUGE thank you to Mark Bissonnette and BeFit, both for the support and the supplementation advice. I would also like to give a HUGE thank you to Andrew Pierce, who has been more like a “personal life coach” for me during this whole adventure. There is no way I would ever be here without his instruction, guidance and motivation!

I can’t wait for the next show! J
